A great place for a lunch in downtown Sarasota. Cie La Vie is one of my favorite casual lunch places. Not only is their food excellent, but their coffee is very very good and their pastries are superb. The side salad is perfectly dressed with their house vinegrette. The bread they serve for sandwiches is freshly baked...and where else can you get a pate sandwich?

Its fun to order lunch and then walk to the display counter and pick out your dessert and have with coffee.

I have eaten at C'est la Vie! in downtown Sarasota many times over the last couple of years. It is a great French restaurant/cafe. It's a small, yellow restaurant right on Main St. It is pretty much a breakfast and lunch place. The French food is great! Management at the restaurant is great, too! All of the people who work at the cafe are all great and wonderful people! All of the staff speaks English very well.

The service can be a little slow, but the service is very friendly, nice, and efficient otherwise. The French atmosphere is great! My only complaint at all is that the restrooms are not too wonderful. The restaurant is open for dinner in the winter. The menu is great, and the prices are great, too! The desserts are very yummy! The sandwiches/croissants and the omelet’s are great! C'est la Vie! is definitely the best and cheapest French restaurant in the Sarasota/Bradenton area!
