Savor Sarasota Celebrates 20 Delicious Years!
It’s time once again to eat your way through Sarasota!
🍴 Ready, Set, Eat!! Yes, the most delicious, almost three-week stretch on the Sarasota culinary calendar is set to be upon us. It’s time to dig out your stretchy pants, find your bib (if necessary 😉), and make a plan to eat your way through some of Sarasota’s best restaurant menus.

⏪ First, a refresher. June 1-20 is Savor Sarasota Restaurant Week! Yes, I am well aware that’s a twenty-day stretch. But Visit Sarasota calls it restaurant “week,” and who am I to argue with that? We’ll just go with it. 🙃
This year, over 50 Sarasota restaurants will be offering up some of their best dishes at Savor Sarasota pricing that is sure to fit into just about any budget. These multi-course meals are offered for both lunch ($25) and dinner ($45).
🪧 Get on the “Flavor Trail.” For their 20th anniversary year, Savor offers a bit of a new wrinkle. It’s a free digital dining pass. Here’s how it works.
1️⃣ Sign up – Yes, that’s easy.
2️⃣ Explore some Sarasota area restaurant menus. That’s easy, too.
3️⃣ Check in when you visit.
4️⃣ Compete to claim some cool prizes! 🏆
I’m guessing you’d like a little more info and a way to sign up. OK, here you go. GET STARTED ON THE FLAVOR TRAIL!
📃 What’s on the Menu? We are SO glad you asked. Let’s run down a couple of quick samples. 📝 We’re going to get into some in-depth menu review in the next couple of weeks. For now, let’s stick to the 30,000-foot view.

Those are six pretty delicious dishes!
All of that is just to whet your appetite. We’re going to really dig deep in the next couple of weeks to give you some dining suggestions that will help you maximize your 2025 Savor experience.
☑️ Don’t Worry. We have not forgotten your 2025 Savor Sarasota Restaurant Checklist. This is always one of our most popular downloads of the year. We’ve again put it together by geography.
Print it, keep it with you, check off some places. If you happen to be cruising through downtown at lunchtime. Boom! There are all of your mid-day meal options right there for you.
We’re making this as easy as humanly possible for you to get the most out of this opportunity for restaurant exploration. If you do this right (and I know that you will), you’ll probably end up discovering some brand-new favorites!

📌 ODDS & ENDS
Yes, there’s more going on than Just Savor Sarasota. I know that seems hard to imagine. But try…
🍷 Wine & Dine. If you’re a lover of Italian vino, then mark your calendar for SUN JUNE 8TH. Riccardo Cimo from Vinifera Wine Imports will be breaking out some of his best offerings for Chef Andrea’s wine and food pairing. These wine dinners are always a treat! – SEE THE MENU HERE
🐟 From Sea to Table. Living by the water has its perks. Especially when it comes to the availability of the freshest, most delicious seafood in the country. Harry’s Continental Kitchens is taking the opportunity to show off exactly how delightful those tasty rewards can be. On SAT JUNE 7TH, they’ll be pairing up with Sammy’s Seafood and Jackson Family Wines to bring you a Sea to Table Dinner benefitting Suncoast Waterkeeper. This will be a fantastic opportunity to sample some great local seafood and support an important local cause all at the same time. – DETAILS HERE

🚪 When One Door Closes… Hardly a week goes by without some sad closing news. This week, McGrath’s Kitchen & Cocktails serves the last plates out of its Lakewood Main Street location. They opened back in 2020 in the former home of MacAllister’s Grill & Tavern. If you’d like to enjoy that final bite, you’ll need to get over there today (FRI MAY 30TH). They will indeed be missed. Thanks, Art, for the tip.
But… Here’s some good news! Longboat Key staple Euphemia Haye has RE-OPENED! They were only closed for about a month, but even in that short period, fans of the restaurant (and The Haye Loft) were more than a little somber. So, I guess this means that their super-tasty “Famous Roast Duckling” is once again an option! Good luck to the new owners.
🧑🍳 Top Cheffing. Did you happen to catch Top Chef season five? Yes, I know that was 2008 (It’s sometimes hard to remember yesterday’s lunch!). Well, if you did, then you saw Chef Fabio Viviani in action, competing for the top honors. He fell a touch short that year but was voted “Top Chef Fan Favorite” by the viewers.
Fast forward 17 years to today, and Chef Viviani has a restaurant in Bradenton, Taverna Toscana. Now, here’s your chance to spend some time making summertime pasta with a pro! Join the Chef for Pasta on the Patio. The afternoon (June 22nd @ Noon) will include a live cooking demo with Chef Fabio, a three-course menu, and a Q&A session, along with photo opportunities. This will be fun. – MORE DETAILS HERE!
OK – That’s a wrap. Remember to do some stretching before attempting any of the Savor Sarasota activities. We want to avoid injury if at all possible. 😂
