I think this place should have already been closed down. The chicken noodle was below fair, mushy noodles, tasteless broth. I ate their once and once was more than enough. This place serves watered down soup, and is a waste of good money. Period.
Hey, thanks for the review….sorry we did not see this earlier! We are always trying to improve everday! We would love to please everyone but we know that is almost impossible. Our chicken noodle offers large fresh carrots with fresh parsley~definately offering more flavor. Thanks for the imput on the Potato and Ham. There is definately more ham in there and more potatoes!!! We are always interested in any feedback, even negative…In order to grow and move forward we have to be able to accept all comments in stride. Stop in again!!!
Just ate at the Soup King for the first time today. Excellent food! Had a sandwich and soup combo (broccoli and cheese/grilled cheese sandwich). Very good. I would definitely recommend this place and will go back there again.
I went a couple of days ago, I had the potatoe and ham soup, it was pretty decent. The place is nice and location is convinient if you’re downtown, though the place isn’t very friendly. as a customer I expect to be greeted to feel welcomed at least by the first 10 seconds. the guy at counter was rude and not very courteous.
I had driven past this quite a few times and curiosity and hunger finally drove my girlfriend and I there. We were very pleasantly surprised, very much enjoying the two soups we selected – one of them a sweeter chilli and the other cream of chicken/mushroom. I certainly left there wanting to return! Thanks!
I was a major souporter of the Soup King. I have to say that my favorite soups were the Potato Ham and the Tomato Basil which has a nice sinus clearing kick to it. A co-worker and I went to pick up some soup today for lunch as we have quite often and to our surprise we saw a For Lease sign in the window. I am not sure where they went, or why, but I will surely miss my soups.
It seems like The Soup King is looking for a new castle. Word on the street is that they are hunting for a new place to set up shop. We’ll keep you posted when we hear of their new location.
For those who are wondering, The Soup King and his family have gone back to thier rootsnin PA, and we took our soups with us! If you would like to know more please feel free to visit our blog at http://www.thesoupking.blogspot.com .
