Sarasota’s Best Sushi
Sarasota has more than its share of sushi places. I know sushi is popular everywhere. But, we list 21 places on this site alone! And, we know there are more in town. So let us do the heavy lifting (and eating) for you. These six places below are our favorite spots for some of the best sushi in Sarasota. Oh, to make it easy (and less controversial), we’ve listed them in alphabetical order Slot Gacor.
DRUNKEN POET CAFE
Long time Main Street hot-spot. Large selection of inventive (and creatively named) sushi creations. They also feature a full menu of cooked dishes including lots of Thai options. If you’re not having sushi (but, you really should) then order the Pad Thai. They’re famous for that.

JPAN SUSHI BAR & GRILL
Jpan has long been one of our favorite sushi spots in Sarasota. They recently opened a second location across from the UTC. The original, located on the backside of Paradise Plaza, still has its special charm. Great sushi and sashimi. A BIG menu of options. The service is always fantastic here. And, you can make a reservation. That’s essential for in-season dining. Daily lunch and dinner specials from https://www.warassehat.com/.

Kiyoshi Noro is a local sushi master. Before his move to the current Gulf Gate restaurant, he was located on Main Street. Still to this day he has a very loyal and dedicated following. His sushi creations are among some of the best in Sarasota. The menu here is small compared to other places in town. But, don’t let that fool you. Each dish is expertly executed. This is a dinner only spot.
Kiyoshi’s Sushi | 6550 Gateway Ave., Gulf Gate | 941-924-3781 | Kiyoshi Website
One of Sarasota’s first real sushi places. And, still going strong to this day. It is one of Southside Village’s busiest spots. Well executed, fairly large sushi menu. They have something for every taste. Raw or cooked. Some wok cooked selections. And, a damn good martini menu too!
Pacific Rim | 1859 Hillview St., Southside Village | 941-330-0218 | Pacific Rim Website
STAR THAI AND SUSHI
Three locations. The newest is located on Siesta Key. Beautiful sushi and sashimi presentations. They have a traditional sushi bar and a regular bar height bar. Lots of seating. They take reservations. For Siesta Key during season that’s a big deal. Also, the Thai curries are super delicious. Also, the roasted duck noodle soup is a knockout!!
Star Thai & Sushi | 240 Avenida Madera, Siesta Key | 941-217-6758 | Star Thai Website
Yume has been downtown Sarasota’s go-to sushi spot for years. They have a great sushi menu and chefs that execute it to perfection. Lots of seating. A big sushi bar. Also, a big sake selection. Yume is a nice place to start an evening of downtown eating, drinking and adventuring.

Those are our favorite Sarasota sushi restaurants. You should probably hit them all. Oh, if your favorite place didn’t make our list, please add it in the comments section and let the rest of the world know that we left one out. We can’t do all the work you know.
