The most searched for restaurants of the past month
Another month in the books. 2021 is halfway over and flying fast! Given all that has happened in the past fifteen months, our local Sarasota restaurant community is thriving. We do have a very resilient group of restaurant owners here in Sarasota!
If you haven’t already done so, you should check them out both on our website and in person at the restaurant.
Let’s take a look at your favorite places to search for on dineSarasota.com in June 2021. Here’s the Top 10.
Michael’s on East moves up a couple of spots from May. And, both Duval’s and Turtle’s move down one position. There were no new entries into the Top 10 last month. But, there are a couple of places that you’re showing some search love to. The new Lily’s Café made a strong debut at #22. And, just making the top 50 is another recent addition, Figaro Bistro. That is where the old Chutney’s used to serve great Indian food on Hillview Street.
You can check out the entire Top 50 for this month. Here’s a link:
Hey, how about a quick trip in the Wayback Machine? We’ve been compiling our list every month for a bunch of years now. Let’s take a look at the top twenty from ten years ago! Here’s what you were searching for back in June 2011.
Those are some names! A little under half of those places are still around. That’s really not a bad percentage considering it’s been ten years! Voocaray! They were serving Cajun cuisine in Gulf Gate for a little while. Owen’s Fish Camp was relatively new at the time and a very hot place to go. It’s still going strong and serving delicious seafood. I really love their Low Country Boil for Two. And, Legacy Grille which was then Harry’s and is now part of the Gecko’s family.
For those of you that are still smiling about the Wayback Machine. Here is a blast from the past on us. I used to LOVE Rocky and Bullwinkle (and still do!). Enjoy!
That’s it for now. Keep on searching!! Oh, and dining!
